Certified translations for Industry Skills Statements

As a member of the European Network of Information Centres, UK ENIC (previously called UK NARIC - National Recognition Information Centre) is responsible for providing information on qualifications and skills from abroad. Ecctis provides the UK ENIC service on behalf of the UK Government as well as other international recognition services.

If you are applying for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card, a Land-based Industry Skills Scheme (LISS) card, an Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) card or a Joint Industry Board for Plumbing and Mechanical Engineering Services (JIB-PMES) card then you may need Industry Skills Statements from Ecctis. These are special purpose statements for those working in construction, plumbing, electrical or the land-based sector. To apply for the service, you will need to provide professional qualifications and permits. If your documents are not in English, you may need to provide certified translations when you apply.

Through our intuitive platform, Dialexy provides certified translation services from more than 140 language and has been working closely with Ecctis for over 7 years.

What are the Industry Skills Statements?

Industry skills statements are special purpose statements for those who are working in construction, plumbing, electrical or the land-based sector and need to apply for either Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card, a Land-based Industry Skills Scheme (LISS) card, an Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) card or a Joint Industry Board for Plumbing and Mechanical Engineering Services (JIB-PMES) card. The services available depending on which card you need to apply for are:

  • Industry Skills Statement with Skills Mapping
  • Industry Skills Statement for Academically Qualified Persons

Read more about each of the services here.

How do you apply and what do you need?

Before applying you first have to create an account with Ecctis. Once you have your account, you will be able to upload your documents and pay for the service. The service you select will dictate which documents you will have to upload but it is likely that you will need photographs or scans of your final certificate(s) and academic transcript(s), as well as a passport or photo ID. For Industry Skills Statement with Skills Mapping, you will also need to provide your course content details and complete the Stage 1 form. For stage 2, a signed letter of authorisation and course content details are also required.
