The Translation Process

Your certified translation is made up of three items: the certification, a copy of the original document and the translation. They will all be branded with our logo marque and contain a verification code that is unique to your document.

You must submit all three parts together for the translation to be officially valid and accepted by UK institutions.

If you should have received your translation by now but you haven’t, please follow these instructions:

  1. check your spam folder in case it has been delivered there: Microsoft email services such as Hotmail or MSN tend to mark emails with attachments as spam so often our translations get delivered to your spam folder.
  2. Check that your inbox is not full and that you are still receiving emails

Send us an email to translate@dialexy.com and we will send you an update as soon as possible.

We send a paper copy of the certified translation in the post and an electronic copy by email. There is a surcharge if the translation needs to be delivered outside of the UK. We will ask you for the delivery address when we send you the final draft to review. If you don’t provide one, we will use the address you specified during payment as delivery address.

Please let us know if you don’t need a paper copy- we love the planet ?

The price depends on the nature and length of the document but our minimum price for a standard page is usually £35 + VAT. If there are more pages there would be an average price per page.

Getting a no-obligation quote from us is quick and free so don’t hesitate to ask! Get an quote instantly or get in touch.

If you have your document already scanned, just drag and drop it or click on ‘Select files to upload’ to browse your computer and add your file.

If you don’t have a scanned copy yet, all you have to do is open our platform from your mobile phone translate.dialexy.com and simply take a photo of your document. Please make sure the photo is clear and the text is legible.

When you upload your document to our platform and select the languages, you will be provided with a final quotation and a deadline for completion of your translation(s). We usually deliver the translations earlier than the deadline but if you need them completed by a specify date, get in touch with us and let us know.

The translation of documents is done by a certified translator with the language combination of your documents and who is specialised in the field of your translation (for example, education, immigration, etc). All the translations are proofread in-house by a native speaker.

We are also available on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln or if you prefer to talk to us directly you can call us on +44 (0)131 516 1625. If your question hasn’t been answered here, then please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.

General

No, your draft translation will not be accepted as the translation must contain the certification.  The draft translation is for you to review that your details are correct before we print it off and certify it (we try to avoid unnecessary printing!). The final version will be sent to you once you confirm you are happy with the draft.

Once you paid for your translation, we start working on it. Please refer to the time scale given in your quote to know when to expect it. The time scale starts when we receive the payment.

The UK does not have a system of ‘sworn translators’ like in other countries. The equivalent to a ‘sworn translation’ in the UK is a ‘certified translation’ and we do provide certified translations.

If your translation is going outside the UK and you need a ‘sworn translator’ to perform it, let us know when you submit your documents for a quote, and we will try to help.

No, we only provide translations of the documents and cannot provide the equivalence. However, there are specialist agencies in charge of providing the equivalence of foreign qualifications.

We suggest that you speak to UK NARIC for this. Here is a link to their website for more information: https://www.naric.org.uk/naric/

Yes, the electronic copy of your translation is suitable to be uploaded for your UK ENIC or Ecctis Ltd application as well as for most Higher Education Institutions in the UK.

When applying to study abroad, students often have to provide certified translations of personal documentation, such as previous qualifications or visa-related documents. Without clear guidance and previous experience, it is difficult for students to find suitable certified translators which meet the university’s requirements.

Dialexy is here to help students get their high-quality certified translations faster and easier. Our team has helped hundreds of international students apply for visas all around the globe, from the UK through to the USA and Australia.

We work with regulatory bodies like UK NARIC and ICE as well as academic institutions to make sure your translations are up to the required standards.

Quote

Sometimes we are not able to provide you with an instant quote. This can be because the images are of poor quality, because you have uploaded several documents in one go or simply because we have never seen that document before.

You can try to upload better quality images and ask for one quote per different document that you have. If it still doesn’t work, just give us your email and someone in our team will look at it and get back to you with a no-obligation quote as soon as possible.

You can get an instant quote when you upload the document to the platform. If our platform is unable to give you an instant quote, we will prepare a manual quote for you in less than 24 hours.

If you need a translation for a UK NARIC application, please visit our dedicated portal here: naric.dialexy.com

For other translations, please visit our regular portal here: translate.dialexy.com. Click the upload button, select the document that you want to be translated and wait for a few seconds. It will either provide you with an instant quote or ask you for an email address so that we can send you a manual one.
